An International Symposium on the Pet Food Industry was successfully held at Huaxing Pet Food Company

On January 26, 2025, an international symposium was successfully held in the multi-functional hall on the third floor of Huaxing Pet Food Co., Ltd. The symposium featured lectures by experts in pet nutrition from Massey University (New Zealand) and the Ontario College of Veterinary Medicine (University of Guelph, Canada), as well as core members of the Pet Nutrition and Food Innovation Team from the Feed Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Representatives from numerous companies attended the meeting.

The symposium invited several experts. Christopher Andrews first shared his presentation, "From Pet Food Evaluation to Companion Animal Health," detailing Massey University's current methods for pet food evaluation and its research findings. Following this, Researcher Cheng Yushu shared research findings on companion animal nutrition from the Ontario College of Veterinary Medicine (University of Guelph, Canada). Dr. Wang Xiumin provided an in-depth explanation of the application progress of synthetic biology in the pet field, pointing out that this technology will greatly promote the development of personalized pet nutrition products. Professor Han Bing focused on research on probiotics and metabiotics, explaining how they effectively promote pet gut health. Dr. Tao Hui discussed information on prescription diets for dogs and cats, emphasizing the importance of customized diets for the management of specific diseases.

A special ceremony was held during the seminar – the Hebei Provincial Pet Food Industry Research Institute appointed Dr. Wang Jinquan as its director. Dr. Wang possesses extensive research experience and outstanding leadership skills, having successfully led several major research projects prior to joining the institute. His arrival will bring new vitality and direction to the institute, further promoting industry-academia-research collaboration and accelerating the transformation of research results into practical applications.

In the afternoon, the expert group conducted a site visit, gaining an in-depth understanding of Huaxing's advanced production equipment, rigorous quality control system, and efficient operation and management model. During the visit, the guide introduced the standard measures Huaxing takes in all aspects, including raw material procurement, production processing, and finished product inspection, fully demonstrating Huaxing's strict control over product quality. Furthermore, the company's achievements in intelligent manufacturing were highlighted, such as the application of automated production lines in the R&D workshop and the operation of intelligent three-dimensional warehouses, all of which left a deep impression on the expert group.
